Meet Mark Grazman
Mark Grazman has been a successful entrepreneur and venture capitalist and has a track record of launching and leading companies with a positive social impact. Mr. Grazman’s commitment to social entrepreneurship began during his time at Duke University and continued during his career including: helping refugees in Bosnia under the auspices of USAID, working with former Soviet governments after the fall of communism, giving voice to a new generation of leaders in Poland through the internet, and working to empower US healthcare consumers to make better choices while lowering costs.
Mr. Grazman became a client of the GH School for Healthy Living in 2006 and his trainer, Greg Hahaj, helped transform his body and his life. Greg's incredible knowledge of the physical body and his commitment to helping others spoke to Mark's past as a social entrepreneur and, slowly but surely, they began to work together to magnify the impact that GH has on its clients and its community. In 2009, Mr. Grazman became a formal partner at the GH School for Healthy Living and is proud to be back in a small company environment focused on changing lives one-by-one.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Grazman was the founder and co-president of BRINGO, a healthcare technology company focused on improving the data exchange between healthcare consumers and providers. BRINGO was featured on page 1 of the Wall Street Journal for its project No Phone Trees, and its investors included the former COO of AOL Commerce, and the former President of the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Grazman also founded led one of the largest internet portals in Poland (Ahoj) which was sold to a media company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2001 after completing 14 acquisitions in twelve months and becoming the largest producer of original Polish language content on the web. Mr. Grazman was instrumental in the rescue and restructuring of the largest rural insurance company in Poland which was eventually sold to a major German insurer. Mr. Grazman was also acting COO and helped turn-around the largest ISP in Hungary which was eventually sold to a company listed on NASDAQ.
As a venture capitalist, Mr. Grazman was Vice-President and co-founder of Banque National de Paris' emerging markets private equity division based in London and helped launch an $85 million high tech fund in Israel. Mark was a board member of a publicly listed “National Investment Fund” in Poland as part of Poland’s mass privatization program.
Mr. Grazman also led a team dedicated to evaluating the efficacy of the largest USAID and UNHCR donor program focused on refugees in the former Yugoslavia in 1994. Mark was frustrated by the inability of the large aid agencies to react quickly to events on the ground, and so Mark left and founded a non-profit NGO named Children Helping Children which operated from 1994-1997 and raised money for the children caught in the Yugoslav war.
Mr. Grazman has held corporate leadership roles including Senior Vice-President and Head of Strategy for CBIZ, where he helped lead the the Benefits and Insurance division, ranked #1 in the US by Business Insurance magazine for employee benefits focused firms.
Mr. Grazman has been involved with improving his communities, wherever those may be. Grazman co-taught a Duke University Public Policy course as part of the Hart Leadership Program, was a speaker at the National Conference on Black Jewish Relations at Dillard University, and was board member of a Chicago-based theatre company, The Hypocrites.
Mark is PROUD to bring his background in social entrepreneurism and developing strong businesses to the GH School for Healthy Living so he can spend the next 50 years working with Greg Hahaj focused on improving the health and life of GH clients and the broader community!
