I am the coach you need me to be.

I spent more than six years coaching college athletes, ranging from football at Beloit College to most recently being the Head Coach for Track and Field and Cross Country at Knox College.  I was successful as a coach across a range of sports because I am passionate about understanding the unique needs, motivations and goals of each individual and then helping them get to the place they want to be.  I am a listener, a motivator, and most importantly, someone who cares deeply about improving the lives of people around me.  I believe strength comes from within, and one of my key jobs as a coach is to help each person unlock their own unique strength and maximize their potential.  I am happiest when I am helping others.

My Background

I have always been involved with fitness, and I have always been a leader.  As an undergraduate at Beloit, I was captain of both the football team as well as the track and field team.  I was named to the Academic All Midwest Conference teams from 2002 – 2005.  I knew I wanted to be a coach so I studied Psychology at the undergraduate level and got my masters in Sport Management.  I have coached at Beloit, Caroll University, and Knox College.  My dreams came true at Knox College where I earned by way to being the Head Coach of the Track and Cross Country programs.  However, I learned during those valuable years at Knox that what I loved most about coaching was not counting the wins but ensuring that my players went on to be the most successful people they could be.  I joined GH so I can focus my passion on helping my clients win in their lives by improving their health.  Now I know that I spent six years coaching college athletes to help prepare me for the REAL GAME – coaching my clients at GH to be healthier, happier, more successful people everyday.
